Journalist & editor specialising in Adventure travel, skiing, SNOWBOARDING, surfing and the outdoors
Iām Nina, an experienced journalist, editor and digital content manager, based in Cornwall, UK. I specialise in writing about travel, outdoor adventure and action sports.
I also write about wellbeing (primarily fitness and yoga). Additionally, I am a destination specialist for London, Hampshire, Cornwall, the French Alps and Swiss Alps.
I started out working at Factory Media as an online staff writer for Whitelines Snowboarding magazine, before moving on to become the associate editor and eventually deputy editor of Mpora, Europe's leading adventure sports and outdoor lifestyle website. I also became editor of Cooler, the UK's largest women's adventure sports site.
Whilst here, I took a brief sabbatical to take photographs at the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014. You can see a selection of my photos here.
In 2020, I joined Culture Trip where I started as a commissioning editor, before becoming head of commissioning in 2022. Here, I co-managed a team of content editors as the business transitioned from an online magazine to an e-commerce travel website. A major part of this role revolved around producing SEO content to drive traffic to their website, as well as third-party sites.
Today, I work freelance as a journalist, editor and content manager. To read more about my experience, click here.
I have written for The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Independent, The i Paper, Evening Standard, Euronews Travel, MSN, Red Bull Adventure, easyJet Traveller, Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Wavelength Surfing magazine and more. You can read a selection of my published work here.
